Frequently asked questions
Can I translate Chinese videos and live streams?
Choose system audio above to see the steps. It works when the source app passes audio to iOS Screen Broadcast, not with every video or app. Check official captions first when available.
Can I review the translated content later?
Caplo offers session history and Markdown transcript export. Check recognition and translation errors before reusing the text. This is not an export of a video with subtitles burned in.
Is this a two-way voice interpreter?
This guide covers recognizing Chinese speech and reading it as Japanese captions. It does not describe automatic two-way language switching or spoken translated replies.
Is it free or fully offline?
This is not fully offline translation. Check your network connection, supported languages, device requirements, plan and remaining time in the app. Consult the privacy policy for audio-processing details.
Does this also translate photos, documents or Cantonese?
This page covers Chinese audio translated into Japanese captions, not OCR, document uploads or dubbing. Dialect coverage is not guaranteed as a group; check the available language options and your actual audio.
